Abstract

The aim of the present research is to investigate the relationship of family dimensions in the process and content model with emotional intelligence, Life Expectancy and anxiety, stress and depression. The statistical population of the research includes all Payame Noor university students of the Alborz province in the educational year of 2011-2012. The sample size was 463 students (291 girls and 172 boys) who were selected through the cluster sampling method. Research tools were self-reporting scale of the family process, content, anxiety, depression and stress (DASS). The results showed that the process and content of family with emotional intelligence and life expectancy, there is a significant positive relationship. The results showed that the process and content of family with anxiety, depression and stress (DASS) is negative and significant relationship, and between emotional intelligence and life expectancy with anxiety, depression and stress (DASS), positive and significant relationship. Also, data were analyzed using the SPSS software and the multivariate regression statistical method. Results indicated that the subscales of the family content and process, could predict anxiety, depression and stress levels and thus are effective factors in determining the anxiety, stress and depression level of the students.
