Abstract

This paper discusses the properties of different resistor types for use in high-voltage metrology. Different kinds of resistor designs are evaluated for the application in high-voltage dividers above 300 kV. To this end, the temperature behavior and voltage behavior as well as the short-term stability of three constructed dividers were investigated. The results of this paper will be used for further investigations on a modular setup of high-voltage DC dividers. The modular 10 kV submodules have been designed for the use of such dividers within the scope of the “Smart Modular Switchgear” project (SMS), which is funded by the German government.
