Abstract
We present here preliminary results on multi-strange baryon (Ξ and Ω) production in Au+Au collisions at the collision energy of GeV as measured with the STAR detector at RHIC. Two different methods have been used on the data for selecting these particles: the ‘classical’ method and a linear discriminant analysis (LDA). We discuss the observed dynamical and chemical properties with respect to beam energy from SPS to top RHIC energies.
