Abstract

Abstract This study investigated whether test performance on a general education test differs by test consequence: high versus low stakes. Our analysis indicates significant differences between low- and high-stakes test takers. Given the results, it may be appropriate to compare institution-level data from low-stakes conditions with data collected under similar conditions.
