Abstract

As a "wet island" in the arid region of Eurasia, Yili Valley in Xinjiang is a big contributor to the stability of carbon storage and ecosystem in Xinjiang. Carbon storage distribution data are an important basis for studying ecosystem stability. Based on land use data, meteorological data and carbon density data in Yili Prefecture, we used the InVEST model to generate carbon storage distribution data in Yili from 2000 to 2020. In terms of data processing, we carried out data cleaning to eliminate abnormal values and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data. This dataset can provide basic scientific data for the study on the impact of land use change on regional carbon stocks, and also serves as a scientific reference for optimizing the spatial pattern of land use.
