Abstract
This paper is concerned with an iterative method to recover thesystem matrix for a linear time-invariant dynamical system. Ituses the states as given data and generates a series ofsimulations, after which it is possible to directly invert forthe sought after matrix. It requires the solution to anonlinear algebraic matrix equation. Numerical results indicatethat the algorithm requires only a few iterations to converge tothe true solution. The effect of noise on the accuracy of theresults is also investigated.
