Inverse Vulcanization of Elemental Sulfur with Natural Rosin to Prepare High Sulfur Content Polymers with Excellent Solubility and UV‐Blocking Performance

Abstract

UV Protection Inverse vulcanization of elemental sulfur (S) with natural rosin (Ro) to synthesize high sulfur content Sx-Ro copolymer is presented in article number 2100854 by Li Zhou and co-workers. The Sx-Ro not only shows excellent solubility in low boiling point solvents, but also exhibits superior UV absorption capability in the whole UV region, so it can be utilized as an anti-UV agent to improve the UV-blocking performance of other polymers.
