Abstract
The most accurate method of evaluating ionization efficiency curves is deconvolution by means of Fourier transforms. This normally requires the use of digital computers. This paper proposes a procedure which, on the assumption of a Maxwell energy distribution of the electrons, exactly corresponds to the above mentioned deconvolution without necessitating, however, the use of Fourier transforms.
