Abstract

We consider the contribution of the $$ \gamma q \to q'l_1 \overline l _2 $$ subprocess in hadron-hadron interactions. It is a part of the one-loop electroweak radiative corrections for the Drell-Yan production of lepton pairs at hadron colliders. We show that this contribution must be taken into account in aiming for the 1% accuracy of the theoretical description of the Drell-Yan process. Both the neutral and charged current cases are evaluated. Numerical results are presented for typical conditions of LHC experiments.
