Abstract
The retailers' inventory strategy in two parallel three-echelon supply chains of cluster supply chain under the competitive situation are discussed. The retailers have to decide either to increase inventory quantities to minimize its cost or to order from the competitive retailer in the parallel supply chain. Based on these two situations, the authors develop two different cost models and calculates them to get the shortage time of minimum cost, and analyze the affection of shortage time on total cost. Through analysis of example, the authors get the conclusion that the retailer can reduce total enterprise cost by ordering from the competitive retailer of cluster supply chain.
