Abstract

The analysis of primary documentation showed that in 1973 and 1979, in the Sea of Japan, four nuclear ship reactors without spent fuel were dumped. A study showed that the total activity of activation products in the dumped reactors exceeded by nearly 100 times the value given in the 'White Book-93'. The value has now decreased to 29 TBq (779 Ci) by radiation decay.
