EDITOR, - A paper and subsequent correspondence on epiglottitis in adults prompt us to highlight related issues.*RF 1–5* Since routine immunisation against Haemophilus influenzae type b began in October 1992 for infants aged under 48 months we have seen two cases of invasive disease due to the organism, both in children too old to receive routine immunisation.
