Invasion of Kumara Kampana against Tamil Nadu

Abstract

In the 13th and 14th century Tamil Nadu was attacked and ransomed by Muslim invadours of Delhi. The Delhi Sultanate successfully established a rule at Maurai city and this province was named as Mabar country. Hindu religion and and culture were suffered a lot in the hands of them. To save the religion and culture an invasion was took by Kumara Kampana prince of Vijayanagar Empaire. He made a war against Tamil Nadu and defeated the Sambuvaraya kings at first and then marched towards Madurai. Finally the Mabar Muslim rulers were defeated and the Muslim rule came to an end. Then Tamil Nadu cames under Vijayanagar rule. Kumara Kampana gave a good administration to Tamil Nadu with the help of his efficient associates. This invasion has considered as land mark in the history of Tamil Nadu.

இந்த நிறலயில் ைிங்கபிரான் என்ை பிராமணப் பூஜாரியின் மகன் உத்தம நம்பி என்பவன் மூலம் முஸ்லீம் பறைகள் திருவரங்கத்திலும், ைமயபுரத்திலும் இருந்தறதயைிந்த கம்பணன் யகாபண்ணன் என்ை பறைத் தளபதிறய அனுப்பி மூஸ்லீம் பறைகறளத் யதாற்கடித்து அவ்விைங்கறள யவன்ைான். யைாழ நாட்டில் கம்பணன் கல்யவட்டுகள் பலவிைங்களில் காணப்படுவது இறத உறுதிபடுத்துகின்ைது. கி.பி.1372 ஆண்ைளவில் யைாழநாடு மீட்கப் பட்ைது. இதற்கிறையில் முஸ்லீம்களின் பறையயடுப்பின் யபாது திருவரங்கம் ஸ்ரீரங்கநாதர் ைிறல முகமது பின் துக்ளக்கின் றகயில் கிறைக்காவண்ணம் பிள்றள யலாகச்ைாரி என்ை றவணவப் யபரியாரால் மறைத்து எடுத்துச் யைல்லப்பட்ைது. அது புதுயகாட்றை, திருக்யகாட்டியூர், அழகர்மறல, எட்றையபுரம், ஆழ்வார்திருநகரி, திருவாங்கூர் வழியாக கள்ளிக் யகாட்றைக்கு மறைவாகக் யகாண்டு யைல்லப்பட்ைது. பின்னர் அது பத்திரமாக றமசூருக்கும். திருநாராயணபுரத்திற்கும் யகாண்டு யைல்லப்பட்டு இறுதியாக பாதுகாப்புைன் திருப்பதிறய அறைந்தது. இச்யைய்திகறள அைிந்த கம்பணன் யகாபண்ணன் என்ை பறைத் தளபதிறய அனுப்பி அச்ைிறலறய பாதுகாப்பாகத் திருப்பதிலிருந்து யகாண்டு வந்து மீண்டும் ஸ்ரீரங்கத்தில் நிறுவி பூறஜகள் யதாைரச் யைய்தான்

In the 13th and 14th century Tamil Nadu was attacked and ransomed by Muslim invadours of Delhi. இவன் கி.பி 1325 இல் மதுறர வந்து முதல் சுல்தானாக முடிசூடிக்யகாண்ைான். என்ை நூல் கம்பணன் மதுறரயின் மீது பறையயடுத்து முஸ்லீம் அரறை யவரறுத்தான் என்று கூறுகிைது. கம்பணன் அவ்வாறு மதுறர சுல்தான் அரறை யவரறுத்திருந்தால் அதன் பின்பு பிை முஸ்லீம் அரைர்களின் கல்யவட்டுகள் மதுறரயில் கிறைத்திருக்க வாய்ப்பில்றல. பின்னர் ஒரு பறையயடுப்றப யமற்யகாண்டு மாபார் அரறை ஒழித்து மதுறர தன் இவன் யபற்யைார் ைிக்க கம்பணன் என்று இவனுக்கு யபயர் சூட்டினர்.
