Abstract

d-dimensional non-abelian topological gauge theories of antisymmetric tensor fields, so-called BF systems, are used to described topological invariants of higher-dimensional links, of dimension 1 and d−2 respectively, in terms of the mean values of suitable defined “non-abelian Wilson surfaces”.
