Abstract
ABSTRACT Let ( A , 𝔪) be a d -dimensional Cohen-Macaulay local ring with infinite residue field and let J be a minimal reduction of 𝔪. We show that λ(𝔪 3 / J 𝔪 2 ) is independent of J .
