Abstract
The purpose of this article is to present a situation in wich a dental problem can put the ATI doctor in difficulty and can have a negative impact on the postoperatory evolution. The case we are heaving is a patient with severe peridontitis wich complicates the intubation maneuver, being necessary to have temporary lingual retainers for the protection of the upper and inferior teeth. The intubation maneuver is awake oral fiberoptic laryngoscopy with good outcome.

The purpose of this article is to present a situation in wich a dental problem can put the ATI doctor in difficulty and can have a negative impact on the postoperatory evolution. Pacient de 60 de ani se prezintă pentru disfagie şi scăderea în greutate de aproximativ 6 luni. Pacientul fumează câte 2 pachete de ţigări pe zi, de 40 de ani. Se efectuează nazofaringoscopie flexibilă ce identifică o masă tumorală laringiană.
