Abstract

We examined clinical, biological and anatomical findings of 256 patients who were tested for the presence of antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) during last 3 years in the immunopathology laboratory. We found 37 patients with positive ANCA: Wegener granulomatosis 16, periarteritis nodosa 2, glomerulopathies and 7 other nephropathies or systemis diseases. ANCA determination was useful for diagnostic procedure in some cases but not all.
