Abstract

We looked for IgA-containing immune complexes (IgA-CIC) in the serum of 137 patients with connective tissue diseases with or without Sjögren's syndrome (SS). 45 patients had primary SS. This test offers sensitivity as well as specificity. It may be therefore an additional diagnostic tool in patients suspected of having SS.
