Abstract
The purpose of this Special Issue is to honor Professor Hasan Mukhtar, whose contributions in the research areas of Photobiology, Photomedicine, Photocarcinogenesis and Chemoprevention are well-known. Dr. Mukhtar has been a teacher, mentor and colleague to me for the last 20 years. He is a researcher extraordinaire, a mentor par excellence and a true gentleman.
