Abstract

SUMMARY The current volume is comprised of five narratives representing the diverse spectrum of lives and careers in community psychology. The contributors to this book are exemplars of practitioners, activists, and researchers who have dedicated their careers to disseminating principles of community psychology. These community psychologists include Anne Mulvey, John Morgan, Irma Serrano-Garcia, Tom Wolff, and Carolyn Swift. Their narratives touch upon themes related to autobiographical memory, family, careers, social class, ethnicity, and feminism. Jeremy Popkin, Roderick Watts, and Douglas Hall provide contextual background on all five narratives. It is the editors' hope that the work will provide an example of the diversity of paths the field of community psychology offers.
