Abstract
In this section, we briefly outline the content of the Cavendishes’ medical manuscript, Pw V90, and lay out our aims in transcribing and analysing it. We underscore the socio-economic and intellectual diversity of its contributors, and contend that Pw V90 is a fascinating microcosm of seventeenth century courtly medicine.
