Abstract
Welcome to the third annual OTA/JOT Video Supplement. This issue provides 21 high-quality, peer-reviewed videos that demonstrate state of the art techniques for managing various orthopaedic trauma conditions. These videos are all narrated to enhance the educational impact, are approximately 6–10 minutes in length, generally include preoperative considerations, intraoperative footage, and postoperative care and results. Each video was peer reviewed to ensure quality and lack of bias, and each is accompanied by a supporting abstract. These videos cover a wide variety of topics to enhance the practicing surgeons' armamentarium and cover a wide array of topics making this supplement inclusive and a valuable addition to the surgeon's library. These 21 videos represent the latest and most up-to-date techniques available. This Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma Supplement continues to demonstrate that the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and its members provide the highest quality educational offerings in the field. These videos were all presented at the 2017 OTA Annual Meeting Video Theater. All viewers and readers are encouraged to submit new videos to the 2018 OTA Annual Meeting Video Theater (http://ota.org/education/online-education/online-education-resources/online-technique-library/video-project-library/). Published videos with accompanying abstracts are indexed in PubMed so that authors receive appropriate academic recognition. We hope that you find the abstracts and video offerings valuable and that you will consider contributing your own videos in the future. Stay tuned for further expansion and future enhancements of the OTA video library.
