Abstract

Introduction issn 0362-4021 © 2019 Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society group, Vol. 43, No. 1, Spring 2019 7 It is with mixed emotions that I announce that this is the last issue for which I will be the editor. After 18 years on the journal staff, 12 as associate editor and 6 as editor , I am turning the position over to Jonah Schwartz, who will introduce himself in the next issue. I have loved helping produce the journal, and guiding it, but I am also relieved. I am proud of my tenure at the helm, and sad to give it up, but I think it is someone else’s turn. In this issue, we have an article by Earl Hopper, who continues to share his thoughts on the social unconscious. Nina W. Brown discusses how to deal with microaggressions in group. Samantha B. Goldman and William T. Sharp contribute an article on using group to teach psychology. We also have some book reviews: Stephanie Lemor reviews A Bridge Over Troubled Water: Conflicts and Reconciliation in Groups and Society, edited by Gila Ofer; Michael McCutcheon reviews Some People Don’t Want What They Say They Want: 100 Unconventional Interventions in Group Psychotherapy by Robert S. Pepper ; and Vedrana Mladina reviews Immigrants and Refugees: Trauma, Perennial Mourning, Prejudice, and Border Psychology by Vamik D. Volkan. As always, we welcome your comments and feedback. —Lee Kassan, Editor ...
