Abstract
5G backhaul and fronthaul experiences new demands from the new 5G use cases, high 5G radio performance, new 5G RAN disaggregated architecture and also high expectations for expandability, availability and security. Standardization environment is heterogenous, since 3GPP work is complemented with networking and transport standards from organizations like IETF, IEEE and others with many topics in the actual deployments being implementation dependent.
