Abstract

The North American Serials Interest Group convened at the Historic Hilton Hotel in downtown Milwaukee for its nineteenth annual conference, June 17–20, 2004. Lake Michigan provided the backdrop and inspired the conference theme of “Growth, Creativity, and Collaboration: Great Visions on a Great Lake.” Conference attendees saw creative changes in programming at the 2004 conference, too. Lunch connection discussions proved to be very popular. Conference registrants at seven tables discussed staff and workflow reorganization for e-journal deployment. User group meetings were held for the first time during the conference instead of after the conference’s closing. A focused vendor demo session was also included in the programming. The strategy sessions covered a wide range of topics. Some considered different aspects of electronic resources. Many of the other tactics presentations also focused on various aspects of electronic resources.
