Abstract

This short article introduces the special issue of the Journal of Bisexuality, "Looking Both Ways: Bisexuality and the Media," by considering recent ways in which bisexuality has been both negatively represented and pointedly overlooked in the mass media. The editors call for greater critical attention to representations of bisexuality and bieroticism in the media and detail the contents of the special issue. They conclude by asserting that bisexuality may still be useful as a trope for critiquing normalizing and restricting sexualities and sexual identities.
