PHOSPHOLIPASE FOCUS This series will begin with a consideration of an acyl hydrolase specific for the sn-2 position of the glycerolphosphate backbone of phospholipids, phospholipase A2, because that is the most well studied phospholipase and consists of a superfamily of enzymes including some 16 groups and many subgroups representing six main types of PLA2 [8]
