Abstract

During the past decade, there has been tremendous progress in our understanding of the pathogenesis of hereditary endocrine tumors. The networks involved in the regulatory mechanisms of endocrine tumorigenesis are complex and under the control of oncogenes and suppressor genes. Every 2 years, basic investigators and clinicians from various scientific disciplines meet to discuss and disseminate the most up-to-date information about the physiologic and the pathobiologic features of these tumors.
