Abstract

This year, the Service Science, Management, and Engineering (SSME) minitrack (HICSS-46) accepted nine papers. It will begin with a special opening discussion session on "The Future of Value Creation in Complex Service Systems" that will include short presentations by thought leaders in the field. The rest of the day will be organized in three paper sessions. The first will focus on topics in service system management, the second, on service innovation and design in healthcare services, and the third, on service modeling and engineering. Throughout, we hope to continue our long-running conversation about the nature of service and service innovation - and also to continue to grow the service science community and contribute to the creation and development of this new and exciting field.
