Abstract

Whether one argues for "practicing anthropology," "applied anthropology," "engaged anthropology," or some other term for what anthropologists do who are oriented more towards projects that directly benefit non-academic sectors, professionals are clearly advancing the significant role anthropology is playing in the contemporary transglobal economic system and the specific human-focused problems it encourages.
