Abstract

With increasing population pressure and anthropogenic activities, water resource has become one of the most critical issues in both developed and developing countries. Understanding the key factors responsible for this global crisis and addressing the issues is essential for our environment as well as the survival of a wide range of species. In this context, the chapter provides a formal outline of the second part of the book, comprising the studies related to mapping, monitoring, and modeling of water resources.
