Abstract

A series of articles from first principles which discusses the internal operation and structure of microprocessors from a user's viewpoint rather than that of semiconductor manufacture. The characteristics of the microprocessor and other system components, memory etc., are evaluated and developed into microcomputer configurations. Programming and hardware/software development is also covered primarily by way of examples in a wide variety of applications.
