Introduction to Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) Design

Abstract

Four criteria for evaluating an HCI design—efficiency, learnability, user satisfaction, and utility—are described. This is followed by a description of four HCI design goals—know the user, prevent user errors, optimize user abilities, and be consistent—and a brief description of HCI design steps.
