Abstract
Ethics is becoming one of the most often used but also misinterpreted words. It is often taken as an additional, corrective parameter to the policies and strategies that has to be adopted in the area of political works, environment, business, and medicine. Computer ethics thus makes the latest ethical discipline in the scientific sky. But its roots, as it was the case with environmental ethics, ranging decades; only the speech and the use of the same, as well as discussions on the postulates of computer ethics, are the results of rapid IT development in the last decade or two. In this paper, according to the title, will be shown introduction to computer ethics-its basis, the most important representatives, as well as the most important succession.

Суштина компјутерске етике је успостављање минималних етичких норматива за понашање у сајбер простору, пошто је право често немоћно да реагује, довољно брзо, ефикасно и адекватно.У сваком случају, сама компјутерска етика и њен развој заслужују пажњу и праћење развоја, јер аутоматизација постаје тотална и корисно је на време успоставити правила машинама- да се не би десило супротно

Термин компјутерска етика није био у широј употреби све док га Валтер Манер није употребио средином 70-их година прошлог века, дефинишући је као „ дисциплину која проучава етичке проблеме које ствара или чије решавање отежава примена компјутерске технологије“. Дебора Џонсон је своју хипотезу још раније изнела на познатој конференцији ETHICOMP95 чиме је паралелно са расправом коју је водила са Горнијаковом,покренула и расправу са Волтером Манером, познату као “uniqueness debate”.Наиме Манер је , не познајући претходни Винеров рад на стварању компјутерске етике, изнео тврдњу да је употреба компјутерских технологија створила посебну,јединствену врсту етичких проблема који до тада нису постојали.Тиме се наметнула обавеза и одговорност друштва да, будући да се постојећа правила не могу применити, створа потпуно нова правила, нови морал, нове вредности. 24 Компјутерски стручњаци заиста морају имати и правну и етичку основу за свој рад, деловање и развој, као индивидуа, али и као они који користе саме компјутерске технологије
