Abstract

The term “breast cancer” refers to a malignant tumor that has developed from cells in the breast. The types of cells that most commonly give rise to breast cancers are the milk-secreting cells and duct cells, which drain milk from the lobules to the nipple. However, a small proportion of breast cancers develop from fatty or fibrous tissue. Breast cancer now is the most popular kind of gene mutation related cancer in women. Treatment efficiency of breast cancer is low; therefore breast cancer prevention and control is extremely important. To increase the awareness of society about breast cancer, Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), also referred to in America as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.
