Abstract
STIM (Shell with Thinking in IMages) is an expert system shell based on factor spaces. It consists of seven blocks: user-machine interface, system description, knowledge acquisition, knowledge-base building, problem solving, repair system, and help information. In this paper, we will introduce the system block by block after a brief survey of theoretic aspects.
