Introduction: Practice, Programs, and Research as Resistance

Abstract

This issue of Practicing Anthropology is a little different from most of the past issues edited by Bill Roberts and I. It is neither a guest edited issue or an Editor's Choice. Instead, the first section of the journal is organized around a theme: The Commitment to Social Action in Palestine: Programs and Practice. The second section is a combination of individually submitted pieces that are both commentary and report. The first group, as indicated in the title, is from international practitioners. The second selection is comprised of submissions from US colleagues.
