Abstract

AbstractA high‐pressure cell for Raman spectroscopical applications has been developed. By using this cell, it is possible to investigate reactions between solids and gases, applying pressures up to 3000 bar. The cell has been successfully tested on the reaction between ferrocene and carbon monoxide. The results point towards a multi‐step reaction mechanism. Furthermore, first results are presented for the investigation of the reaction path of CO2 with a zinc thiolate complex. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
