 Abstract. Reason of research. Raising awareness about financial management and control and timely response to existing challenges.
 Methodology/approach. The methodological basis of the paper is the fundamental research of economic science. Georgian and foreign scientific articles, works and studies are used in the work, the material used in the research is based on the data of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, and the National Statistics Service. Qualitative and statistical methods, data from international organizations are used in the research, this research is mainly based on information collection, comparison, study and analysis.
 Research tasks. The main tasks and hypotheses of the research can be formulated as follows: the need to introduce the reform was determined not only by Georgia's obligations to the European Union, but also by the potential benefits obtained as a result of its introduction, because the state's internal financial control system ensures the proper functioning of public services and the legal and transparent use of state funds. , economical, efficient and productive disposal.
 Practical value/consequences. The results and conclusions of the research can be used in higher education as a guide material. In addition, it will significantly help the government institutions in the development of the country's economic development course, its adjustment and implementation of specific issues.
