Abstract
A steadily growing and increasingly recognized area ofsociological pedagogy is the teaching of the demography ofaging. This article provides a brief description of the substantive domain of the demography ofaging,followed by illustrations of the range ofperspectives used to teach the subject in the context of the sociology ofaging. The remainder ofthe article offerspersonally tried and recommended strategiesfor teaching afirst-level course on the demography ofaging.
