Abstract

AbstractThis article focuses on the problem of introducing a mechanism to support and protect the indigenous habitat of native minorities in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). This can help preserve and develop the traditional way of life of native minorities, as well as their economies and trades. The author developed a model of the mechanism to protect the rights of native minorities and stressed the importance of obtaining initial data, including the data on traditional land-use areas, indigenous community lands, and their rights, as well as hunting and fishing grounds. The article analyzes the title registration procedures for indigenous community lands, hunting grounds, and traditional nature management.
