Abstract

Serials: The Journal for the Serials Community has been digitised and can be accessed in full on this website. All content is freely available on an open-access basis. Serials was published between 1988 and 2011. In 2012, the journal was retitled and is now published as Insights: the UKSG journal.

  • After serving 15 years as a librarian, Dan moved to the corporate world and has served as President and CEO of two library subscription agents including Readmore and Faxon

  • Dan Tonkery has been working in libraries and the library industry for over thirty-five years. This contribution has recently been recognized in Dan being awarded the 2005 ALCTS/Bowker Ulrich’s Serials Librarianship award. His first professional position was at the National Library of Medicine (NLM), the world’s largest medical library located in Bethesda, Maryland, where he spent ten years working in various management roles in acquisitions and automating technical services operations

  • After NLM he went to UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) where he was the Associate University Librarian for Technical Services
