Abstract

This work reports a facial way to synthesize of an efficient catalyst based Ni–Pd alloy nanoparticles which supported on a new bio-inspired hierarchical porous silica and its catalytic activity in the one-pot Suzuki–Miyaura cross coupling-nitro reduction. The synthesized catalyst was fully characterized by FT-IR, XRD, FESEM–EDX, elemental mapping, TEM, ICP-AES, N2 adsorption–desorption, DRS–UV–Vis and XPS techniques. Use of inexpensive catalyst, high yields of the products and reusability of the catalyst are some of the advantages of our procedure.
