Abstract

Photoluminescence and electrical properties of complexes of polyamide acids with different chemical structures with lanthanides were studied. Characteristic terbium emission bands were observed in the spectrum. It was found that the lanthanide ion in the complex shows the intrinsic emission if it is surrounded by oxygen atoms. The temperature dependence of the conductivity and current-voltage characteristics of complexes were studied for layers from 0.1 to 20μm thick. The activation energy of the temperature dependence of the conductivity was determined to be 1.4 eV. A significant deviation of current-voltage characteristics from linearity was observed, which is caused by charge-carrier injection in layers 0.1μm thick.
