Abstract

Nominally pure CaF2 crystals were grown by Stockbarger method. Pulse cathodoluminescence (PCL) spectra were studied. PCL spectra of CaF2 crystals at room temperature were excited by pulse of accelerated electrons and simultaneous stimulated emission of CdSSe crystal. It was shown that the simultaneous excitation of the crystals CaF2 leads to a reduction efficiency of creation of self-trapped excitons (STEs) and the appearance of short-lived emission in the UV region of the spectrum.
