Abstract

The intrinsic electric strength of a series of epoxides has been determined, and the results are discussed in terms of the chemical formulations of the resins and the curing agents. The incorporation of metal co-ordination compounds into the resins in an attempt to increase the electric strengths is described and discussed. The independence of intrinsic electric strength on the chemical constitution of organic polymeric materials is proposed.
