Abstract

A factor analysis of the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire-Short Form was conducted, based on the responses of 852 direct care staff from a variety of residential facilities. The results confirmed that intrinsic and extrinsic satisfactions are separate factors as reported by the authors of the scale. Also presented are norms for three satisfaction scales, comparisons between scores of staff from different facility types, and relationships between staff characteristics and job satisfaction.
