Abstract

Intra uterine infection can lead to serious complications for the fetus and it’s detection is a major concern during labor. Currents methods for fetal surveillance during intrapartum are imperfect and new tools need to be developed. Analysis of fetal heart rate variability (HRV) seems to be an interesting option. The objective of this study was to evaluate acute intra uterine infection effects on fetal heart rate variability, using an experimental sheep model.
