Abstract
(Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand. 2022;101:1207–1214) It is known that consuming cannabis during pregnancy increases the risk of complications for both mother and infant, but the mechanisms of this increased risk are unknown. Endogenous cannabinoid systems are associated with cardiovascular regulation, and exogenous cannabis consumption has been shown to have some cardiovascular effects. This study aimed to examine the effects of cannabis consumption during pregnancy on fetal and maternal blood flow and explore the mechanisms of cardiovascular risk.
