Abstract

Objective To study the clinical effect of intraperitoneal hyperthermic perfusion chemotherapy combined with intravenous chemotherapy in the treatment of peritoneal metastasis of ovarian cancer. Methods Fifty patients with peritoneal metastasis of ovarian cancer treated at our hospital were selected and divided into an experimental group and a control group two groups using the method of random number table, 25 cases for each group. The control group was treated with intravenous chemotherapy and the experimental group with intraperitoneal hyperthermic perfusion chemotherapy and intravenous chemotherapy. The clinical efficacies of the two groups (tumor control efficiency and incidence of adverse reactions) were observed and compared. Results After treatment, the effective rate of tumor control and the incidence of adverse reactions were 80.00% and 16.00% in the experimental group and were 52.00% and 20.00% in the the control group, with statistical differences (all P<0.05). Conclusions Intraperitoneal hyperthermic perfusion chemotherapy combined with intravenous chemotherapy in the treatment of peritoneal metastasis of ovarian cancer can not only effectively control the tumor, but also can reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, so it is worth being clinically generalized. Key words: Intraperitoneal hyperthermic perfusion; Intravenous chemotherapy; Ovarian cancer peritoneal metastasis; Clinical effect
